TDX Ltd is a family-run business. A team of 5 to 10 people works across the yard, the workshop and dispatch at Gorton Road in Manchester. The family has worked on Japanese and Korean cars for years, which is why the business specialises in them.

TDX Ltd was incorporated at Companies House on 15 October 1997 as T.D.X. LTD., company number 03450336. The Gorton Road yard was built from the ground up before trading began in the late 1990s, and the business has worked from it ever since.

We are on Gorton Road, Manchester M11 2DZ, in east Manchester, close to the Etihad Stadium and the Co-op Live arena. The yard is easy to reach for customer vehicles and recovery trucks.

Opening hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, Saturday 9am to 3:30pm, closed Sunday.

We are around 5 minutes from the Etihad Stadium, with food and rest stops nearby:

No. TDX Ltd is a car breaker and used car parts supplier in Manchester. It has no connection with Intel TDX (Intel Trust Domain Extensions, a processor security feature), with TDX Group (the Equifax data and debt recovery business) or with Tower Defense X, the Roblox game. They just share the same three letters.

Yes. TDX Ltd holds Environment Agency environmental permit MP3594CJ for treating end-of-life vehicles, which makes our yard an Authorised Treatment Facility, and is registered as an upper tier waste carrier, broker and dealer (CBDU187817). When we scrap a car we issue the DVLA Certificate of Destruction.

Both numbers link to their record on the Environment Agency public register.

Yes. Every listing shows the exact part you will receive, never a stock image. We photograph each part from every angle, often with twice as many photos as a typical listing, and always include close-ups of the part numbers, including ones that are hidden or hard to find, so you can check them against your own.

Start with the part number. Our listings include close-up photos of it, so you can compare it with the part on your car. We check the OEM part number on every part before it is listed.

If you are unsure, send us your registration or VIN and the part you need, and we will check fitment for you. Not every vehicle can be checked from its registration, so we also rely on our specialist knowledge of these makes and on visual matching against your old part.

Yes. Engines are tested running before they are removed from the car, and a compression test can be carried out as well. Other major mechanical parts are tested before removal.

Electrical parts, sensors, interior trim and smaller components are checked for function where possible, then cleaned and inspected before listing.

Yes. Every part carries a 30-day guarantee, and engines carry 60 days, whether we fit them or supply them only.

Often, yes. We dismantle cars all the time and not every part is listed straight away; some are still on the vehicle. Send us your registration and the part you need and we will check the yard for you.

Yes. Airbags, seat belt pretensioners and other pyrotechnic parts are sold for delivery within the UK only, and buyers confirm they are 18 or over when adding one to the basket. We have no way to send these parts abroad, so an airbag order with an address outside the UK is cancelled.

Delivery to the UK mainland is free and usually takes 1 to 2 working days: dispatch can take up to a working day, and the courier delivers the next working day. The same applies to large items such as engines and gearboxes, which travel by next-day pallet courier. Deliveries outside the UK mainland may carry an extra charge.

Yes, we deliver across the UK:

• Larger items (engines, gearboxes, doors, tailgates, subframes, axles, etc.) by pallet
• Smaller parts by standard courier

International shipping is available for smaller boxed parts only. We cannot ship large items, airbags and other pyrotechnic parts, or high-voltage batteries abroad because of courier and safety restrictions.

Fragile parts are wrapped before they even go on the shelf. For dispatch, parts are bubble wrapped and boxed, or shrink wrapped, and for awkwardly shaped parts we often make a custom-fit box to protect them in transit. Large items such as engines and gearboxes go on a pallet.

If you're expecting a large item such as an engine, door, or tailgate via pallet delivery:

• Access: Please ensure your delivery location is suitable for a truck to access
• Timing: Deliveries usually take place during the day, and the driver will call you when they arrive
• Inspect before accepting: For body panels (doors, tailgates, wings, etc.), please inspect the item carefully before signing for delivery

If there is any damage during transit, you can identify and reject the delivery on the spot. This helps us process any claims quickly and arrange a replacement.

Yes, you can collect parts directly from our yard on Gorton Road, Manchester.

Some parts are already removed and shelved, while others may still be on vehicles and need extra time. Please call us before travelling so we can confirm availability and prepare the item in advance.

If collecting a larger part (engine, gearbox, axle, etc.), please bring a suitable vehicle or trailer.

Yes. If a part turns out to be faulty, contact us within the guarantee period: 30 days, or 60 days for engines. The part needs to be fitted and tested within that time. Once it is back with us we exchange it, or refund the purchase price if no replacement is available. Labour costs are not covered.

Yes. We supply used engines and fit them in our own workshop in Manchester. Engines are tested running before removal, and every engine we supply carries a 60-day guarantee, whether we fit it or supply it only.

Yes. We offer UK-wide vehicle collection for engine fitting jobs, as long as your location is accessible by a recovery truck.
